My upset special of the week is Mount Vernon over Cassville. MV gave Lamar a lot of trouble in the first half of their game (I watched it live). They have also
been a thorn in everyone else's sides this season. Also, I picked Salem to beat Cabool, but I could see the Bulldogs upsetting the Tigers and getting their first win
of the season. That is IF the Dogs can put 4 quarters together and play flawless. I also want to mention that I would LOVE it if Adrian beat Fair Grove. I think it is possible...I hope.

Benji you are on crack if you think Adrian can beat Fair Grove..Yes Fair Grove has not really been playing good ball right now, but hopefully they can get it together.. People have not given Fair Grove much credit and I really see why.. The way they have been playing warrants that.. But if these boys can get it together and start playing team ball again they could be dangerous.. Not sure what FG ever done to you for want you to want them to lose.

Mosooner, Catholic also scares me. I almost picked the game to be closer, and it was really close to sneaking into the top 10 for the week. I sat there and debated on it before I posted. I am just going to hope that the Wolves are good enough to beat them by two touchdowns. Catholic always comes ready to play when it comes to you guys (except for maybe last year?).
workethic, not crack, the closest thing in my body to crack would be Dr. Pepper. Look guys! I finally got a FG fan to come out of the wood works! It was only a matter of time. When I said, I think it's possible. That means, ANYTHING is possible. I didn't say Adrian would definitely win. Here's to hoping because I really can't stand your team, sorry. I've been in the booth with your announcers and fans before. They are the worst of the worst when it comes to sportsmanship out of any school that I have been to. Which is saying something because I travel to many games, and have written articles for many sports outlets. I'll never forget the time that I was at a FG game and they had the possibility of facing one of the schools that I went to school at in the playoffs. The things that were said were not humble, they were downright jerks about it and then FG got thumped by said team. I felt justified and it was great! I held out hope that it wouldn't always be like that. Until last year when I went to another FG game and heard the same garbage about the team they were facing (who also thumped them). Is it a trend to act that way in purple pancake land and then get spanked for it? And I quote your head coach from Friday night's Ozone show. This is what he had to say about Lamar. "I think we match up well against them, at least from what we do well".
WHOA!

But its your opinion and I respect that.. And what the coach said is not bad.. We stop the run well, not saying we can against lamar but its true... And honestly not loking forward to facing lamar especially how we are playing now.. But Benji its your story so I will let you tell it... And I have been here a long time not coming out of wood work.. But when I hear something stupid said on this forum I cant help but chime in..

I am also talking about administration that I have run into, and even standing on the sidelines with players and hearing their arrogance. I just didn't want to have to go that far to say it. I understand a program that only has a good team here and there, and wanting to flaunt it. Pride is one thing, arrogance and nastiness is a whole different ball game.

Every one of those on your top 10 should be good games, however I am going to give you an 11th. Both Osceola and Pleasant Hope are 0-8, I think the Indians beat the Pirates but it can definitely be a game of interest!

Fair Grove has always been one of the most overrated teams around. Nothing new this year. Anytime they meet up with a good physical football team they fold like a wet napkin. If they match up with Lamar it will be like a bye week for Lamar. They could probably play their JV and win.

If someone is looking for a example of folding like a wet napkin, look at what the liberty eagles did too them in last year's district championship. 52 to 6 or something close to that. I'm afraid that score could be repeated this year against Lamar. Earlier in the year I was told that the media was getting pressured to hype teams other than Lamar, Webb city and such teams. So there maybe some truth to what I was told from a reliable source of mine.

Lamar fan and I have only been to FG once. My experience the fans were great and enjoyed my conversations with them. As mentioned in earlier post Lamar was 6-6 going into the game. Was watching the game from end zone and had several FG fans ask how we were only 6-6. Also that year Lamars band had a huge numbers since they were taking a trip to Orlando (if I remember correctly). The band had around 80 kids in it that year. At halftime FG band played first then our band took the field and played. I usually don't pay much attention to halftime shows but Lamars band sounded great that day. Lamar was ahead a couple of touchdowns at the half. Anyway to make a long story short one of the FG fans that I had benn talking with comes over and comments "Even you bands kicking our A$$!

But yea they are high school kids, cant control how they play on Fridays.. Our soft schedule does hurt us though I am the first to say that.. There are other areas but I will keep them to myself.. I do know if we start playing team ball and not this one man show crap and throw to our wr's we are a better team.. Hell 6'4 and 6'6 and we dont throw to them? Leaves me scratching my head, but maybe they know something I don't.. Anyway good luck to everyone Friday night.. Last scrimmage before the season starts..
