I am interested too. I did not get to go watch that game, I went and saw Ozark dismantle Bolivar.

Sorry to just be getting back to you guys. I noticed that Fair groves line is very big, played well. Starting running back jump cuts a lot, but then gets pad level down and good forward lean as he gets vertical. Thought fair grove is decent, but it was hard to tell at how good they actually are due to the fact that Adrian was not very good at all. Lots of blown coverage, receivers caught the ball almost at will. Wish they would have played someone that was worth gauging them off of. Still do not think they are as good as Springfield media portrays, but do have some bright spots for sure.

I understand that Springfield media wants someone closer to get in the class 2 mix, but until someone (anyone) can knock off Lamar they should call everyone else mediocre. I'm sure Fair Grove is a good class 2 team but Lamar is on a whole another level. Liberty and Grove is getting closer but not quite there yet.

Thanks for the reply about Fair Grove. I was looking back at this thread and noticed a common theme that I had a question about. Obviously the Mid-Lakes is not a conference that many people take seriously but I was wondering why that is the thought about the other conferences. I am a fan of the COC small and I don't understand why the Big 8 and the SCA get some much credit when the bottom of those leagues are as bad as the bottom of the COC small, and the top is all about 1 team, just like it is in other conferences. Excluding this year, Bolivar could have and would have competed to win both of those conferences. Obviously they are a little different this year, just wondering why it is. I understand the irony of posting about the COC small on a SCA website but I thought since other conferences were talked about, it was ok to do so.

Im going out on a limb here...(waaaay out) because I have very little knowledge about the MLC, but if I were to guess, you could line up the SCA vs MLC #1 vs #1 and #2 vs #2, so on and so on and I would guess with the exception of maybe Houston and/or Cabool the the SCA wins almost every game. This may be way off due to the fact that I have little knowledge or info to back this statement up. But when I see a Fair Grove vs Strafford game with the score that I did(28-22)....it makes me question. How does a good team let it be that close? Grove beat them 44-6 I believe and that was playing our JV most of the 4th. Even if you come out sluggish you pick it up after half time and beat a bad team easily IMO.

and add in that the Sca has done very well when we play against them. We beat Bolivar in back to back years, never lost to Fair Grove(when the fitz was there) only got beat by Strafford 1 year(wr name of gooden)out of 3 or 4 times.

The last Bolivar matchup was when? 2009? It has had to been a while. They would have given you a lot of trouble between then and now. Top to bottom the small COC (although larger) would be just fine against the SCA. Thats not a slap at the league at all, I think I have proven I am a fan of your style of football. As far as matching up with the MLC... Especially the way things were this year, you would win most, if not all the head to head matchups if you went 1st vs 1st, 2nd vs 2nd etc

it has been a few years, but historically the impression of those leagues isnt very good. when has either conference made any noise come playoff time? even in Bolivars really good years they would always get turbo clocked by webb. FG had a few wins in the early years of the liberty rise that Fitz beat em.
