Imo it's gotta be the eagles/Panthers. Seems like to me both teams have gained some steam over the last half of the season. That being said I do see a path for the panthers to get a win,simple pound the ball and find a way to make first downs by any means necessary. Although this hasn't worked in the past there not playing a eagles team from recent memory.The eagles QB isn't a threat to run so it's somewhat easier to prepare. I'm sure the panthers coaching staff had to learn something from the first meeting.
As a eagles I'm just not sure which team will show up. Imo I believe top to bottom we have the best wide receiving core around, maybe not the fastest but solid 4 deep anyway. If our QB takes care of the ball they'll get to the second round. The eagles definitely have showed the ability to pound the ball all season with success so it'll be interesting to see.
Time for both teams to show what they got, I'm sure they understand the alternative.
Definitely be a game worth watching!

Liberty by 3 TDs
Going to come down to D.
LIberty D is better equipped to stop what Grove does well.
Grove D is weakest where Liberty is strongest

For The Grove to win we have to churn out yardage and eat up the clock with No FIPS(Fumbles,INT,Penalties, or Stupidity) or as bonehead stated it could easily be a 3 TD beating.

Grove can win if they finish their drives and not give up 6 on offense. We were turned away in rezone numerous times after marching the field.

when is the last time willow only won one game? I cant remember even in the early 90's had few thin years before the Ary years began. Has willow ever has a winless season? doesn't look good! but I don't have a kid that plays so I should keep my mouth shut.... that's BULL POO. I care an love my home town just like others but most don't want to upset anyone I don't care. changes need to be made!I know I'm not at the games I don't get home tell after 7 on fri so I listen to our wonderfully animated long time radio broadcaster tell what's goin on an it's insane but so true spot on the sadness that comes from his voice in shock of what he is seeing after so many years listening to him this is like no other plain shock is all you hear. I hope we don't have a winless season but as a wise man said recently it don't look good

They would go 8-4 in 90 and 91 finishing as state quarterfinalists both years then sink pretty fast with 3-7, 2-8, and 1-9 or 2-8 (going off memory here). Coach Ary took over in 1994 as head coach (been here as an assistant), would go 2-8 in year 1 with MANY freshmen starting 5-5 in 95 then 8-2 SCA champs in 96. We have had only ONE positive record (6-5 under Perkins) and a few .500 records since 2004 when he left. I have tried, like BMAC, to not rock the boat. But to have a 1-9 season and in a conference that sucks this year (sorry guys but it does) with 18 upperclassmen who have plenty experience is not good. I don't have the answers but I know something needs to change whether philosophy, practice routine, more weight room, or what the heck ever.... |

We got our wish eagletimer a rematch with the Ava bears. Hard for me to believe that swafford will best acklin 4 games in a row going back to last season. Well c anyway, predict a barn burner for sure. Saw a great amount of improvement out of the eagles the last half of the season and completely healthy headed into this matchup from what I understand. Still got some work left to do.

None of those things matter when you dont have football players. Change anything you want and without football players there will be more 1-9 seasons. |

I do believe ther is some players out there. its other peoples job to teach an inspire the young men out there! some kids may not have a lick of talent but if thing are goin right you can inspire them to do great things HEART is a big advantage in sports a kid would run through a wall if inspired. but were all gonna have diff opinions on all this stuff.
there was some good old debates on the old sca board.... oh memories

Difference was our Players are tough and full of Grit and played hard for 4qrts. To me the issue in WS is cultural the whole town seems to be non-hardcore and the team reflects that... Your former coach was trying to bring back a swagger and outlaw nature. I don't think that went over well with anyone in the community. If that is the case expect more 1-9 or 0-10 seasons. I believe the current staff is trying to change the fluffy nature of the community but is that what WS really wants? I mean I think WS wants to win but winning is hard and often rough and tumble....it's not a church league softball game. |

I do think outside of Fris and Schwalm that it's been rather lackluster hires. Ary did leave a big void and as a master motivator he was able to get a lot out of the WS players and the community bought into his hardcore approach. |
