LOL where in my post did I say or even allude that I was offended by your Pick...I picked Lamar....I said Lamar should beat FG that pretty much goes without saying! FG has a good team and possible the talent to upset Lamar. I don't see it happening because Lamar has to much playoff experience and equal to better talent than FG...But stranger things have happened that is why the games are played. I even stated I seriously doubted AVA can make a credible game versus Lamar. So the reality it is you who seems to be really Straddling the Offended fence with your NARDS in a bind. How the heck can anyone with a mere ounce of intellectual grey matter read what I wrote and take away that I was offended by your post or your premise? Or even think I thought FG had a chance credible chance of winning. FG has a chance but it's minimal I thought that was obvious to anyone with a 6th grade reading level. You can't even seem to comprehend I was on your side of the debate. Laughable! Woah buddy. Don’t you think it’s a possibility you got quoted incorrectly? Lay off the insults. You’d think after seeing I complimented you in another post the likely hood of this being towards you would be off base don't ya think? I’ve been watching high school football since the mid to late 90s and I had the pleasure of watching my hometown of Hannibal Pirates play some of the best games in northern MO. Then I moved down here to ole Dent County and got to watch one of the greatest rushing teams in MSHSAA in my beloved Salem Tigers. For u to say I use this as a fantasy pickem is hilarious. Idc what team looks better on paper we all know any team can be beat on any given nite just look at last week Willow upsets Liberty that wasn’t supposed to happen but quite a few of us show that coming so we took the pick. And finally It Is High School Football after all. My question to you is are u going to criticize the guys or gals that have chosen Buffalo to upset Blair Oaks any other games that people are picking that you are so sure of. Hey correct me if I’m wrong but this is our opinions on who we think will win not oh hey let’s pick the obvious. Also I’m in top 4 of pickem standings so I must be doing something right. So it’s fantasy to you, then state it’s what you want. When normal people pick games they actually pick based on actual reasons based on watching teams. Not just “what I hope happens”. If they do? They state it. |

Well if you meant to quote another poster and clicked on my post instead and in haste you wrote what you did I do apologize. But I had no other recourse but to take your post at face value and respond in kind, when I was clearly misrepresented as being offended or even remotely thinking that FG had more than a minimal chance for success. As I stated Lamar should win 8 out of 10 games versus FG...maybe even 9. |

Guess I took a wrong turn somewhere, thought this was a SCA Pickum thread.Guess I missed the part where it turned into a Lamar,Fairgrove who ever thinks FG will win is wrong. Hey any traffic and post are welcome sort of Happy the Lamar poster got things going for a bit. And I do disagree that I seem like a idiot....a person of low intellect...now if you want to say I'm a blunt arse hole who draws no quarter with his viewpoint well that is pretty spot on |

Look, I really hate to be berating you. But that’s also terribly uneducated. By your logic, going undefeated is the only way to tell how good Lamar is. That if Lamar isn’t winning every game, they are down. Do you realize how remarkable is was a middle of enrollment for a class 2 school was winning, and winning big against a class 3-4 conference? Just because Lamar lost twice, and 4 times in total out of the past 20 something games doesn’t mean they are not on anywhere near the same level. You are showing a tendency to put personal hopes into this. Instead of logic. This is class 2 football now. Lathrop beat a worse then this year Lamar team? Care to guess when the last time a class 2 team beat Lamar? It’s been awhile. If Ava does it? Although I doubt it, they are a little down compared to last year. Yes I’ve watched them a few times, and have seen a majority of Lamar games. I would say it’s this year the SCA gets over the hump. But not looking likely. Not impossible, but not probable. Alright, I do believe I can speak logically about this. I see the Big 8 every week. I have seen Lamar, on video, four times this year. I can tell you without a doubt they are down. You can try to ignore it all you want but they are not at the same level they were while winning 7 straight. Now, that being said I do think they win this week. They are still very, very, good. I think that being "down" for Lamar is still a level that many teams in the state strive to get to. But if you put this Lamar team against some of those teams in the past decade, they get blown out. |

Ava- Would like the see Dew's boys pull off another shocker but I am too far behind to pick with my heart here
Thayer- wont be playing basketball for a while
Blair Oaks- Buffalo has had a nice season, but it ends here
Cassville- Seneca won the regular season game... not this one
Lamar- Lamar is down, they might not be what they were but they are still Lamar.. Brotherhood rolls
Webb City- Bolivar feasted on weak opponents but proved themselves last week.. that is as far as it goes
Hayti- this will be a great game... its almost a coin toss.

It is kinda nice to see a little smack talk going on. I lurk on this board, occasionally but I remember the old board having ALOT more smack. If everyone considers it good natured and not personal or harsh, it's kinda fun. So, question for you all. I'm always confused how hosting works, but, let's say Lamar wins and Ava wins, tonight, does Lamar travel to Ava or vice versa?
