Getting New 8 lane top flight Track as well. Only down side is at this time the Visitor Bleachers might not becoming back depending on the situation.

No offense intended here at all. But when is enough enough? Grove already has the nicest field/stadium in the conference. How can a school justify this type of expense especially with all of the problems around from Covid?

So you are telling me that every other program/need in the Mtn Grove school district is completely funded and doing well? Every kid in your school has everything they need in order to succeed in the classroom?
I find that really hard to believe in the day and time we are currently living.

Clearly that is the Case if our Administration and School Board signed off on it. It's not like they are taking away Computers/Tablets, books and Reduced Lunches to pay for it. You clearly know how things work and that some Money's are allocated for Certain area's and other Funds got to other area's.
This was a well studied Process over the last several years. Data was compiled on Maintenance/Watering/Mowing/Reseeding every Fall and Spring and the long term cost of that compared to Turf and the duration. Also usability for more programs and such was factored in. In the End Getting Turf was a wise and smart decision.
As Far as C19 goes that has actually been a boom if you know the system ....Small service business are suffering but Gov. entities and Corporations are making Bank. Heck My GF who works for the Greene Co. health dept/CDC has gotten a big BIG Raise since the Plandemic came about last year.

Is the school paying for the turf or was their private donations? I know in the past, donors have paid for many of the upgrades.

I don't have to justify it at all. Because there is nothing to justify.
Some Schools/Administration/Community members are much better at how they go about working within the system and obtaining services. Other schools are lacking or not willing to go the extra mile and do what is necessary work wise for their Students and community. And that is 100% totally acceptable if the Communities are satisfied with subpar facilities and underachieving expenditures per students ,I have no issue with that at all because I believe each community has the Right to do what they see fit for their students even if it is Less than what I would want done for students in my community. They are your students and your concern not mine.
Clearly you seem to have a issue somewhat with Grove Getting Turf and want to Imply("I know exactly how things work and exactly what is going on here") that Our Administration is Robbing Peter to Pay Paul and doing harm to the educational experience that are offered to our students which Is Clearly not the Case and would never be accepted in the Community as a whole. SO clearly you are Clueless about what is going on in Grove and how things work here. Your suggestion is patently False or a complete untruth.
The Truth is we are Late to the Turf Party so to speak there are a lot of schools our size or even smaller that have Turf in and around the state.....Hollister has Turf, Forsythe has Turf, Festus has Turf,Windsor Turf,Blair Oaks Turf,Boonville Turf,California Mo Turf,Clark County Turf,GrandView/Hillsboro Turf,Hermann Turf,Lathrop Turf,Macon Turf,Monroe City Turf,Potosi Turf,St.James Turf,South Callaway Turf.
So as you can see a Whole slew of schools have Turf that I can name off the top of my head who are the Same size or smaller than Grove and the other Schools in the SCA , I'm sure that there are other schools I didn't name that have turf as well that fit our range of size....but I guess all those Schools can't justify having Turf either as you have implied.
No the Truth is that Schools who don't have facilities like ours need to look within and take responsibility for their Failures, incompetent management and leadership as a whole.
And of course you can justify not having adequate facilities how ever you see fit...ie trying to insinuate that those who do have nice facilities are doing something untoward in obtaining said facilities....of course that is your right no matter how in error you are.
And We will enjoy our Field.
