I’m stirring the pot (gets accused of being serious) provides reasons for arguments (not giving class 1 teams enough credit) for believing that they are good but not good enough to win against the top tier in class 2. It’s weird how depending on who you are what gets assumed. Talking shit and football is what I thought this was for. I’m going to say seriously though that I don’t think it’s logical to think Thayer can win conference and then think Ava or MVL will go deep. That’s just illogical. Now I can easily see if AVA is vastly improved and primed if they do win the conference and get past Lamar that’s then logical. In that sense. I feel the love affair for Thayer and class 1 with having one in conference has to come from a place that if they are winning against our “toughest small school conference” in the state? Then they are vastly better then advertised and it would look bad for us if they aren’t. Because we are mostly class 2 in this conference, so if they win our conference then they can beat a lot of bigger schools even if they are highly ranked. I understand why this is now. It all makes sense. Maybe if Thayer is winning conference that’s a indictment on the rest of the conference. Which is the case outside of a few seasons for the big 8 as well. Monett one year, Cassville a few years ago was outliers to this rule. The games should be played. I enjoy throughly seeing MVL each year go home mad especially on the trash talk page. Dads gets crazy on there.
