It's weird how Fair Grove describes this game as the "Championship." And, I know it is the district "championship," but they don't even mention the fact this is just the beginning of state playoffs.

They are infatuated with us. This isn’t spreading false information. You can go to Lamar’s game from last week on YouTube, and listen closely towards the words of one of our coaches who spoke. FG has been working towards this game and talking crap since a camp both teams were at. The boys chirped (no pun intended) and the coaches did as well. Our coach said “Be careful what you wish for” as his words back towards them. The FG area really dislikes us. The atmosphere In Lamar with their crowd is always tense. MVL seems to not like us, but it’s a different ballpark from FG. This is a rivalry, BUT my only crap talk will be this. It’s only a rivalry if the other team has won” that is all.

Their season is based on playing us. Some of that is reality, but I can’t help but to smirk. I enjoy seeing confidence, but I also think more humbleness should be there. It’s not like they haven’t been in this position before, they scored almost 600 points a few times back playing Lamar, and lost 56-0. They are a top 10 team, they are a worthy district championship opponent, but they need to be less talky more action on the field.

I dont think we will have any problems with playing physical. and in the 2 big 8 teams we have seen this year I would say they were far from being physical teams. in fact i would say they were down right soft and shy'd away from any contact Seneca is not Cassville or RS…they are physical. Wrestler types upfront and aggressive and quick. Reeds had a losing record and Cassville isn’t what they were a few years ago. It’s kinda ignorant for him to say that about the best (more times then not) small-middle sized conference, there’s currently3 teams playing in district championships in different classes/two in one class lol

I don’t think it was ignorant neither team was on par with the Normal Big 8 physicality of the past. Just a honest observation.

I don’t think it was ignorant neither team was on par with the Normal Big 8 physicality of the past. Just a honest observation. Sure, but that loses the intention imo when you equate playing two who are currently not the upper echelon of the conference and because they were down, that means the Indians will be a cakewalk as well. I’m sure MG can win, but this won’t be as much of a cakewalk.

I know Dew is prepping for Deer Camp, obsessing and anxious about getting out witted by Bambi again...... but come on a drop by is warranted. Well we don't camp though I wish I had a place I could. Bambi and the whole family has been put on notice. The ole 30-30 is tuned up and ready to roll, so is the .243. I've seen a crap ton of does and some little ones, not so much on the buck side. But that's ok, I got the freezer space and you can't eat the horns

For those of you talking about the Ava/Lamar game I get it, I really do. And I see where the FG talk has the Lamar folk fired up. FG folks booed us our first time there with nothing to worry about because they had Schaffitzel. It was the most unwelcomed non-conf place I've ever been. But be on your guard guys. Love em or hate em the district playoffs is survival of the fittest. Those teams are in those championship games for a reason. I'm not picking upsets by any means but just don't count the chickens before they hatch. See Buffalo/Jacksonville last Sunday lol.

The people in Mountain View and Birch Tree like Playing Lamar , granted we'd like to win at least one one of these days . I've honestly enjoyed our only trip to Lamar , The people their that I met were very gracious and polite and down to earth people . Meeting Lamar in the quarter finals always gives us something to shoot for . I don't know if we'll get to play y'all next week but we'll hope so and we have a big road block in the way with Ava this week . One can only hope . Go Eagles !!!

It is cute how Fair Grove thinks they have a chance against Lamar. Not a big fan of them going back for several years. Lamar folks are way better to be around, and they have reason to be loud with how much they have won. Fair Grove is the cockiest bunch I have ever seen that has won basically nothing. Hopefully Lamar crushes them and rubs their face in it.
Would love to think Liberty can play with Ava, but I just don't see it. Ava is too fast, too strong and too disciplined for Liberty this year. Would love to be wrong.

I don't think his intention was to express that playing Seneca would be a cake walk win(I've known Jordan for years and that usually isn't his personality)....to me he was specifically pointing to the fact that we usually don't have trouble with the physicality of the game.....we often get out athleted/skilled and out disciplined/Executed....but only in are really really bad years do we get out played physically and not always then.

I don’t know the gentleman. That’s just how it looks. It would be a good thing if that wasn’t his intentions. So I will take it that way then.

He might well enlighten us on his intentions today..and I could be wrong as well. But Jordan usually has respect for all our opponents.
