I don't know about the ole bookface and all the Excuse making on there, that stuff is probably coming from weirdo trolls, parents, girlfriends and relatives of the players if Social Media is still the same cesspool it's always been.
I posted my thoughts on the Grove vs Ava game. Now do I think we could give them a better game? Sure we could, not saying we would win but not giving up a K.O. return and fumbling on a Kick off to make it easy on Ava would of tightened up the game a bit. But no doubt they won that game with effort and focused football.
As far as beating MV, we are more than capable of doing so, the question is can our Defense slow Ripko and Pruitt down some. And I know MV has other weapons, Reese,Frazier,Moore but if you can disrupt Ripko on his Jet play out of various formations and his split Pro Spread power play, and Keep Pruitt from picking a lane out of empty and running straight up the pipe for big yardage and stop QB ISO then it will hamper their Offense. We have to be focused and prepared to play near mistake free football on defense to win this game. Offensively the same thing...we have to play focused near mistake free football and we have to be very physical upfront versus a improved MV defensive front and run the ball then when we can take a big shot with the pass. Keeping the ball out of MV hands also frustrates the eagle offense and hampers their ability to score.
MV has a bit more leeway in winning this game because they have huge big play potential in the Run and Pass game so they can afford to make more mistakes and misques than Grove....we are the decided underkats for sure but we can steal a victory if we hoss up play well.

Up until I made my pick for the pickem, I totally expected to type "GROVE". I still think they may be the best, or at least most talented, team in the league. (thats not to take away from anyone, I just think they are, or at least can be that good) I ended up changing my pick, largely from seeing posts and talking to a few folks. The way I pick sometimes thats probably the kiss of death for Liberty. Not sure if what I am hearing is sandbagging or true thoughts but we shall see. It should be a great game.

If Liberty keeps this up, I donât see why they couldnât beat Seneca. Even if Seneca plays a good game. Their defense consistently allows big plays and 20+ points a game as the season progresses. They have a hard time with the pass. Liberty flourishes with the pass. Iâm very intrigued how the big 8 and SCA continues to play out. No disrespect to Reeds. But outside of smacking around Springfield Catholic (every team in the Big 8 and SCA could do that) they havenât been that explosive all season. I think itâs an uglier game that Lamar lost than I originally thought. I knew Lamar shouldâve won. It happens. Hats off to Seneca on capitalizing on Lamarâs mistakes. But I think Liberty might just get that rematch with Lamar like posted about last week. lol just an observation. Itâs still early, injuries can happen. Itâs football (anything is possible on a Friday night). Just keeping the board alive!

Seneca gives up a lot of points, no doubt. But, to be fair they score a lot of points. They are not undefeated by accident. They do a great job of capitalizing on mistakes. Both by their opponents and officials. (Heck, they made a fair catch and returned it for a TD vs us) All moaning aside, they are very good, especially on the offensive side of the ball. And while I do think RS deserves some credit, some of what the Lamar folks speak is the truth. Lamar put the ball on the ground and made mistakes you hardly ever see out of the Tigers that night.
