I thought this was game that Grove could and should win, but recent results look like the opposite. We haven't been tested in the passing game. so our DB's are going to tell us Grove fans if a district and further on is in the cards. If our offense plays up to its abilities we can score enough to win most games. If they play like they did at Ava and in first half against Cabool they can get beat just as easy. lot of facebook fodder on how this is best Liberty team in years and that they are coming for Lamar. which would be a first

I haven't saw any post about Liberty is coming for Lamar! Lol but nice try. Truth is we don't know how good or bad we are because outside first half against Strafford we haven't been tested by anyone. I do know our Varsity D has only give up one touchdown in 5 games. It also shut out Ava who Grove gave up 42 points to. Luckily the kids from both teams will leave it all on the field Friday night.

I could see the Ava/Houston game being a low scoring affair......Liberty vs Grove. Defense will determine the outcome.

I sent him screen shots as we chuckled about it.

Shows you how lopsided this rivalry has become. You know things are out of hand when JE is preemptively bringing up Lamar before we can even play the Liberty-Grove game. Focus on the here and now JE. I mean yeah score comparisons tell us a blowout is likely, but it's a rivalry! Anything could happen, score comparisons don't mean much! It could very likely be a 35-0 Liberty win, but it could also just as likely be a 21-20 Liberty win. No need to start pulling for Lamar just yet bud, you can wait until after this week for that.

I took it the opposite. the conversation on FB looked like the MV fans already had the district won, and was ready for a playoff run. and I wasnt even involved haha.

Which we beat the only time we played them

Liberty/Grove Houston/Ava both games of the week. 5-0 is 5-0. 4 top teams in the SCA doing battle. that Houston/Ava game is also very intreguing. Houston is #1 in district standing. time to start playing the big boys and see where they stack up

If Ava doesn't play well Houston could upset them....if that is even a upset if you look at the district standings.

Dam Grove and Ava just can't say we got our ass whipped. Ava only beat Grove because we played so bad. JE"s post all over Facebook. AVA whooped that tail. Own it. We whipped Ava's tail, own it. If Houston beats Ava own it. If Liberty beats Grove own it. If Grove beats Liberty own it. Excuses are bull****!
