I was told that Gaines and Curley (Marshfield) were both going to be on scholarship at Austin Peay but you never know. Wouldn’t be the first time I’ve been told something less than the truth. 🤷♂️ By the way both Grove and Norwood did a phenomenal job on D vs. Liberty. |

Willow beats Licking 60-57 Jan 25 and lost to Marshfield 64-50 in the Mtn. Grove tournament. Now 8-11

Thayer beats Willow 65-50. Saw a dandy jv game with multiple lead changes in the 4th and Thayer won it 54-51. 8-12 on the year

Really nice win for Grove JV. they played pretty bad and got beat by Forsyth pushing them to the losers bracket. Licking won the JV tournament.

Grove 80-60 over Ava. 10-9 on the season now I worry this may be a slow rebuild in Booger County. Grove seems better than their record indicates. I assume their biggest obstacle is staying out of foul trouble? |

I assume their biggest obstacle is staying out of foul trouble? we play a pretty good schedule. So it hurts the record. But gets us better prepared for the 2nd half of season. If we played a bunch of cupcakes we could have a 15-5 record like a lot of the other area teams always do. Foul trouble hasn’t been that much of an issue. But we play very aggressive D and get some whistles. |
