I understand that. I’m not sure how long he’s been at Ava. But it’s been a decent tenure for him. I say theyvaont score 14. Because better teams to be blunt, haven’t even scored 14 on Lamar. The D is stacked. Our weakness is anything is the pass, and we still aren’t allowing many points. 6-7 points allowed againgst Ava tops.

Dude Ava will be lucky to score on the JV they won’t score 14. I just figured the bears would score 1 TD thru the first 3 quarters and 1 in the fourth with the tigers jv playing the last quarter of play We'll c soon |

Not an Ava fan, but i hope they use some of this talk for motivation. Being a Liberty fan i know how tall the mountain to beat Lamar is, but in my mind Ava is the 3rd best team left in class 2. You've got to have an outstanding defense to hang with them and somehow get lucky and score a couple. Ava does have an outstanding defense. Im not saying Ava wins, but if they play a perfect game who knows.

No disrespect to Ava intended as they were the class of the SCA, but there is no way they are the 3rd best team left in class 2 right now. That is a very narrow view and understanding of the teams around the state.

Not an Ava fan, but i hope they use some of this talk for motivation. If a team isn't motivated enough just by the magnitude of the game, then I doubt that a few quotes from some bleacher coaches are going to matter. I'm sure the coaches of the teams playing don't appreciate some of the cockiness from their fans, and would rather they tone it down a bit, but they will have their teams prepared for the game. Once the whistle blows and they are hit for the first time, I'm sure their mind isn't going to be on what someone said on a message board. Good luck to both teams and I hope they all come away from the game injury free. |

Before you start accusing me of not understanding the teams around the state, you may want to take a look at the other side of the bracket. I believe Lamar, LN, and Ava would make it to the Championship if they were on the other side. Maybe you're the one with the narrow view. |

I believe Lamar, LN, and Ava would make it to the Championship if they were on the other side. Maybe you're the one with the narrow view. The only team left other than LN and Lamar that could beat Ava is Caruthersville, and that would still be unlikely. There is no question, in my mind, that no one on the other side of the bracket could beat Ava. The level of the other side does not even come close to LN/Lamar/Ava except for MAYBE Lafayette but that's a stretch. I would actually have to question your view of the state Mr. Bonehead. |

I doubt Ava scores, and honestly I don't know how much they will even move the ball. Bailey will have a better game plan than grove. For some reason Grove sent the middle linebacker on a automatic blitz to the dive back side every play....the UNBLOCKED tackle (the read) should be taking dive. Instead grove puts 2 players on the dive, and it still probably avg 5 yrds per carry. With two players on the dive it allowed the QB and pitch to run free most of the night. Then of course they go to buck sweep, dive the back away (which took our MLB out of the play) because we follow him with a blitz for some reason...and bring the wing around on buck. This play single handily beat Grove. I don't know the stat but i would guess they avg around 10-12 yards per carry on buck sweep alone.
With this being said here is the reason I believe Ava will struggle so much. Lamar will not put two guys on the dive. The DT will come down hard and tackle the dive all day. That will free their line backers to scrape over the top and make plays on the QB. Once #12 starts getting hit I suspect things will start turning into a downward spiral. I'm sure Lamar's saftey or OLB will take care of the pitch. As stated above their pass D may be their only weakness...Ava threw the ball 1 time against grove last week. And that was a screen. Ava is going to try and beat Lamar at their own game and I really don't think it's going to work out for them. Just based on my experience with both teams. The one thing I can see being positive about Ava is that the weather shouldn't really affect their offense like it has Liberty's in the past. You never know when a Novemeber day is all of a sudden gonna become a wind vortex or something like that. One of the few Liberty teams I thought might've had a chance against Lamar was with Kole G at QB and Jaelon Acklin at WR and they played that game in 35 mph winds lol |

Also, the only team to score more than 7 points against our team was Seneca. |
