Word on the street in Mtn View this morning was that Willow Springs is looking for a head football coach. I am sure that will make a couple people here happy. Coach Schwalm seemed like good guy and I wish him the best. He had to deal with some tough stuff in his time there.

Smart move on his part..... SO it looks like WS hires from within or gets a retread coach looking for another chance. Be interesting to see what approach WS administration takes and who is a option at this late date.

In all seriousness all I am getting is people asking me what's going on. I am only getting tidbits here and there but I dont want to post something and it not confirmed. Obviously too many people are talking and not just in Willow so he is gone/going. It is so late in the year it will be hard to find a replacement. However I have seen schools are looking for coaches on MoSports and have been for a while. I am so out of the loop on this but my guess is this, that either Dylan Carter or Cole Johnson will move up to head coach. They did a great fill in job last year during all the covid crap, and the kids responded to them well. No matter who we get, opinion only, if we don't step up the weight room and conditioning it's gonna be difficult for anyone.
The one good thing about all this is it does give us something to talk about

Yes at least we have some fodder to maul over. I wonder if there is any assistant coaches from other schools who might want to step up and take over?

Other than those who were Willow Alumni I really don't know the assistants that well. I know a lot of them do really good jobs, but do they get that recoginition? |
