kids already loving new atmosphere at willow. both new coaches doing great setting the new tone.

I am sure they are, but they are going to have to create quite the atmosphere to offset their 2 best players not playing.

Dont know who these 2 are but with a new coach new system do we have a best player as everyone has to adapt? I don't know who is in or out yet and it is only June, maybe we get a few more interested before its too late. If not then it's no different than an injury situation, its next man up and hope for the best. I hope these kids if they're not playing reconsider especially if they're seniors. Dont wanna go your whole lives wondering if you could have helped or made a difference. I know, i made that mistake.

lol no I wasn't waiting I had all confirmation I needed from source. I like that though SUPERFAN should get wife to put that on a shirt.

I think I'm more just a fan than superman. i don't get to go to everything or even get out much...i did want to know who wasn't playing that's? I do have one young man at my house ALOT who some folks are wondering if he's gonna play but I didn't know if he was one of them? that's why I ask question like I did up above to you MEGAFAN!

You both know who I am referring to, the two best seniors on both the football field and basketball court. It is not some mystery. And if they do not play Coach Wyatt has an even bigger uphill battle on his hands.

Boys if you read this, or anyone else thinking about not playing - It's your choice and your life I won't ride you about it, and I am sure some will. From my freshman to junior years of high school I didnt have the oppurtunity to play sports or participate in anything. I won't give you my life story but we were in struggle mode at that time. When my senior year came an oppurtunity was there for both my brother (a soph) and myself to play. I gave up after missing 3 years and didn't even try. I know many first year players in their senior year don't make the field often, but what if I still could have helped and learned some things. It's been 33 years since graduation and I still wonder if I could have made a difference or helped in any way. I know others who go through those same thoughts who played 3 years and didn't finish. This is also why I give what I can to extracurricular activities, to encourage kids to do as much as possible while they can. I've heard that you're tired of losing and don't want to go through it anymore (burnout) and I get that, I really do and I have no room to talk because I wasn't going to many games myself this year. But there is a coach here now who will get the absolute best out of everyone he has to work with, and even if you don't win a whole lot of games, you'll be better prepared on how to endure things in life after graduation. Your life, your choice, just asking to give it a thought and I'll live with the results

Sidenote - my message isn't just to any willow kid. We're not the only ones who deal with this, it's an issue everywhere

I've told the one boy I'm around its his decision. he has a million people coming at him asking to play. I'm not gonna be another pressuring him. he didn't like the 2 years he played. I did explain I believe it'd be different now but it's between him an his folks. he's an unbelievable young man he will do what he feels is rite for him.

I truly believe he will regret not playing in the future. But with that Said if his heart is not in playing and he can't dig deep and give 100% effort then not playing is the best option for him and everyone else in Willow Springs.

Carter stepping away from football. very good young assistant coached one game last year. what he did for the kids off the field is really gonna be missed. still at willow but not coaching.
